Bulgurcu Foundation (BAVAK)
A bilingual website for the Bulgurcu Foundation, which supports female engineering students with scholarships and mentoring, bringing its programmes, projects and donation channels together.
The challenge
The Bulgurcu Foundation is a non-profit that gives female engineering students scholarships, mentoring and career support. The site had to be a hub where students can apply for scholarships, donors can give easily and corporate partners can see the foundation's work.
With international partnerships, the content also needed to be available in Turkish and English.
Our approach
We built a vibrant WordPress site in the foundation's turquoise, navy and pink. Four programmes (scholarships, mentoring and careers) and projects such as Women with White Safety Helmets, Explorer Engineers and the charity runs each have their own pages, with reports and the foundation charter in the corporate section.
We simplified giving: one-off and monthly donations, preset amount buttons, donation by SMS and gift donation certificates are all a few clicks away. The site is live in Turkish and English, and visitor behaviour is measured with Google Tag Manager.
