The challenge
Most block puzzles are built on square grids and one endless board. Players never know when a session is over, so it is hard to open the game for a short break and close it feeling they finished something.
We wanted a game where a level takes a minute or two, every board is a small brain teaser, there is no timer or lives system pushing the player, and everything works without an internet connection.
Our approach
Instead of a square grid we designed honeycomb hex boards with a single rule: use every piece and leave no gap. Pieces cannot be rotated, so every move takes some thought. All 400 levels, split into Easy, Medium, Hard and Expert, were checked by hand and are guaranteed to be solvable.
Each level awards up to three stars; collected stars fill the Moon and pay out bonus gold. Players who get stuck can use a hint to see where the next piece goes. Candy-colored pieces, soft sounds and a night-sky theme keep the mood calm. Progress is saved to the cloud with Google Play Games, and the game is available in nine languages and plays fully offline.
